Plan a rectangular patio from its length and width, or enter an area you already calculated. Add paver face dimensions in inches and an editable allowance for cuts or breakage. The math, plainly
How it works
- 01
For a rectangle, multiply patio length by width. You can also enter a known area calculated elsewhere, including a combined area for an irregular layout.
- 02
Multiply each paver's face length by its face width in inches, then divide by 144 to get square feet per paver.
- 03
Divide patio area by paver coverage, add your editable allowance, and round up to whole pavers. Joint spacing and pattern-specific cuts are not modeled separately.

Inputs120 sq ft area, 12 × 12 in pavers, 10% extra allowance
